THALASSA — A Mediterranean Beach Club Experience

THALASSA is a conceptual beach club exploring how contemporary Mediterranean architecture can shape leisure as a spatial ritual rather than a spectacle. Designed as a sequence of interconnected environments — arrival, gathering, dining, retreat, and pause — the project translates the natural rhythms of the coast into a calm, immersive hospitality experience.

Arrival Sequence

Inspired by Mediterranean village passages, the entrance recalls the quiet approach to a hidden coastal place — where architecture, greenery, and proportion gently distance the visitor from the outside world and prepare them for a slower rhythm within.

Echoing the casual moments of rest found in coastal villages, this setting allows visitors to step out of movement and into presence.

The dining courtyard becomes a place of gathering, where Mediterranean architecture frames long evenings shaped by conversation, food, and atmosphere.

Swimming Courtyard

A place of calm immersion, where water, architecture, and evening rituals converge. Softly illuminated by freestanding lanterns and low ambient lighting, the space draws from Mediterranean bathing traditions, transforming swimming into a quiet, atmospheric experience.

Conceived as a quiet retreat within the beach club, the cabana draws inspiration from Mediterranean courtyard living and the informal privacy of coastal homes. Light fabric, soft boundaries, and layered textiles create a space that feels neither enclosed nor exposed — a place for rest, conversation, and unstructured time, where leisure becomes personal and unhurried.

Evening Pool Sequence

Inspired by Mediterranean nights where social life unfolds after sunset, this setting is tuned for music, conversation, and slow transitions from day to night.

Boutique Courtyard

The boutique is designed as an intimate extension of the beach club, where fashion is integrated into space through material continuity and human scale. The setting recalls Mediterranean courtyards where textiles, craft, and daily rituals quietly intersect.

A restrained retail entrance where Mediterranean architecture, everyday objects, and fashion coexist as part of the coastal environment.
